1. Welcome to 2021, and a week that will be politically chaotic with many surprises, may result in a constitutional crisis over the election of the President, and is likely to see urban violence.
2. The 2020 elections were mired by unconstitutional acts by state officials and by substantial fraud. Expect the Supreme Court to rule on both. The question is when? Before or after the inauguration?
3. Trump’s last shot at getting re-elected is now more political than legal.
4. Vaccinations against Covid, with vaccines from both Pfizer and Moderna, have started! There have been few serious reactions to the vaccines.
5. The US economy began a strong recovery in June. The huge 3^rd quarter GDP gain shows the recovery is V-shaped. That recovery has extended well into the 4^th quarter as the latest data show. The new stimulus package is likely to speed it up again.
