In-Brief
- Only the Supreme Court can ensure free and fair elections in the future.
- The 2020 elections were mired by unconstitutional acts by state officials and by substantial fraud. Expect the Supreme Court to rule on both.
- The Electoral College votes are cast from the state capitals this Monday, Dec. 14, but that step will not end the political and legal wrangling.
- Vaccinations against Covid have started! Survival rates after having Covid-19 have become quite high. But Covid-19 is still extremely dangerous.
- The US economy began a strong recovery in June. The huge 3rd quarter GDP gain shows the recovery is V-shaped. That recovery has extended well into the 4th quarter as the latest data show. But it is slowing a bit based on new restrictions on economic activity because the spike in Covid cases.
