In-Brief
- Covid case rates are rising rapidly, especially in southern and western states, but the death rate has plummeted. Most of the new cases are among younger people who have stopped social distancing. They often get mild or asymptomatic infections.
- But, if you are in a vulnerable health situation, continue to protect yourself from the coronavirus.
- The US economy is being gradually re-opened and began a strong recovery in June. That recovery is still on-track.
- Be prepared for many twists and turns in the Presidential race, especially as we get to the conventions in August and the debates in September and October.
- Pay special attention to how Joe Biden handles the crime and “Defund the Police” issue. Throughout Biden’s career he has emphasized his toughness on crime and criminals. That is not acceptable in today’s Democratic Party.
