In-Brief
- We have a rapidly changing world order. China’s miracle growth era appears to be ending. The US will stay #1 and widen its economic lead over China.
- The Supreme Court ruled that the EPA does not have the power to make broad climate rules. Unless the Congress gives it or another federal agency such powers the Biden administration’s ability to change the use of fossil fuels is limited. This is a vast shift and destroys the possibility of the Green New Deal being implemented anytime soon.
- President Biden’s trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia was a mixed bag … some good and some bad.
- Little important enough to move many votes in November emerged from the Jan. 6 Committee Kangaroo Court. Public interest is rapidly waning. The star witness trotted out recently proved to be unreliable and relying on hearsay, not observed facts. She was contradicted by Secret Service agents who observed the actual events.
- Inflation stays historically high and is likely to stay high throughout 2022.
- The US Main Street economy continues to grow, with full employment and just 3.6% unemployment.
- China’s economy remains in deep trouble and is stagnant or in a recession.
- Biden’s political support among Democratic leaders and the media is beginning to collapse. Just 29% of DEMOCRATS want him to run for re-election in 2024. He will not be President then. He is a failed President with a failed presidency.
